kick up your heels

I was asked this week to make a card for a lady who just loves shoes (don't we all?). So I came up with this one for her. I cut the pieces for the shoes out of Taken with Teal, Black and Sahara Sand. I used the background stamp Bella Toile to make the pattern on the shoes, then made the base card as a easel card from Old Olive card with Rich Razzleberry and black as the mats. Hope she likes it.

Eleven new products

Stampin’ Up! have announced a Colour renovation, from the 1st May we have 11 new products. Sadly we are saying Good by to some of the colours in are stamping up family but not until Oct with the new Catalogue so you'll have plenty of time to stock up your favorite ones if they are going but this has to happen to make room for the new exciting colours and if the sneak peek we've had is any thing to go by we are in for some fab colours three of which have already been released I hope you are as excited as I am about this

This is how to make a rose using the large flower from the Vintage vogue set which is in the new mini catalogue.
First stamp and cut out three of the large flower.
The first one you cut out one of the petals and the center of the flower.
Roll the petal around a cocktail stick to form the center petal which is layer 1.
Then take the piece you have left which should have 5 petals, place some Tom Bow glue on the petal shown in the picture above bring around the other end and place on top of the glued petal and press together to form a cone this will make layer 4
Take the second flower and cut away two of the petals and the center, place glue on the edges of the two petals to form acone this will make layer 2.
You should be left with four petals,
place some Tom Bow glue on the petal shown in the picture above bring around the other end and place on top of the glued petal and press together to form a cone this will make layer 3.
With the third flower cut into the center and just cut out the center, place some Tom Bow glue on the petal shown in the picture above bring around the other end and place on top of the glued petal and press together to form a cone this will make layer 5
Now all you have to do is start with layer 1 and put a small amount of glue around the base and place it inside layer 2 then place a small amount of glue around layer 2 and place layers 1 and 2 into layer 3 and so on until you have all 5 layers done when the rose is dry you can cut of the end to make it sit flat on your card.
